What A Book Sale!
If you were to look at the Friends Book Room today, it would seem almost empty compared to the once overflowing shelves. We sold more books than in previous sales as book buyers are recognizing the quality and organization of the books. Kudos
go to the volunteers who had been sorting the donated books for months,
to
the high school students who cleaned the room and moved tables, to all
those who placed yard signs, to Diane and Meg for publicity including
putting out signs and balloons at 7 a.m., to Lu who dealt with all the
finances, to Trustee Diane who let us in early and Director Margaret for
staying with us on Friday after hours, and to all those who manned the
sales. All the money raised will go to the library for materials, museum passes and programs.
